Sentinel 100HP ‘4w VBT Type’ Vertical-boiler industrial steam engine built in 1946 by the Sentinel Waggon Works to work the Royal Ordnance Factory in Hooton, Wirral. It was purchased in 1958 by Thomas E. Gray Ltd. to shunt lime trucks from the Isham Quarries in Northamptonshire. Gray named the blue-liveried locomotive “Musketeer” to commemorate the Royal Navy ship that he served aboard during the Second World War. Withdrawn 1961 for boiler works. Rebuilt with boiler from English Electric Ltd works number 9533 from Bootle (Peeping Tom 2).
Sold to NIRT 5th Sept 1975.
